The Big Bang Theory

Hello everyone,
The end of the month is here again, so I have to write yet another blog for you guys! This time, I decided to write something about the Big Bang Theory.
No, not about the beginning of the universe and that kind of shenanigans (Haha, just joking.) But about the extremely popular sitcom, called the Big Bang Theory.

So what's it about? Well, the Big Bang Theory is a sitcom about 4 who live together in an apartment (well, 2 living together, but the 2 other friends are almost always there too.), and a good looking, very social girl who moved in next door.
Together, they go through all sorts of wacky situations, mostly because of Sheldon.
Sheldon is the smartest of the 4, but he isn't good at everything about being social. He has a giant ego, but doesn't realize it, he doesn't get sarcasm, and he finds all the social obligations and habits "unnecessary". Almost everything they go through is because Sheldon was just, well, being himself, actually.

Sheldon lives together with Leonard. Leonard is the most normal guy of the 4. Apart from being very shy he isn't really that socially awkward. He is in love with Penny, the girl next door, but he never has the guts to ask her out, and, whenever ho does so, it always ends abruptly because he does something stupid.

The other two guys are Howard and Raj.
Ray has a very serious case of selective mutism. Whenever there is a girl in the room, he is rendered speechless. This also leads to a lot of funny situations.
Howard is the creepiest of the four. He thinks he is a smooth talking ladies man, but actually, all the girls despise him.

Unlike most sitcoms, where people can identify themselves with one of the characters, this one has characters so wacky, people also keep watching. The show is really funny, because the 4 nerds think they know a lot, but thanks to Penny, you can see that they know almost nothing about life outside the laboratory and the geek world.


The show was so popular, that they have decided to run untill at least season 7.
I have watched almost every single episode (I have yet to see the new ones of season 5), and I just love the show. Even people who aren't into science/nerd culture will love it, heck, even my mother loves the show. I suggest you go watch it right now! Go on, watch it!

Also, did you know that the main actors in the series get payed 250.000 dollar per episode? And next season, they are going to increase it to 300.000 dollar! o.O
